This plant belongs to the Araceae family. It is common in regions with tropical monsoon and subtropical climates. This makes it common in Southeast Asian countries. These include Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

The plant’s base is deep brown. Its stems have thick, tender leaves. Each base sprouts 3-5 leaves. The leaves are green, and some may have white or yellow veins. Odora plants are 0.3 to 1.4 meters tall. But, mature plants can reach 4 to 5 meters tall, depending on soil and care.

  • Watering: This plant loves water and can tolerate short periods of flooding. Water it regularly to ensure it receives the necessary moisture for growth. Watering 0.5 to 0.75 liters daily is recommended. Morning watering is ideal.

  • It prefers partial shade. It can be placed in areas with some sunlight. These areas include outdoor gardens, skylights, or shaded spots under taller plants. If grown indoors without sunlight, put the plant outdoors. Do this for 2 to 4 hours each day. This will expose it to sunlight.
